Socio-Economic

India, as one of the fastest-growing economies, has to provide for the social and economic demand of the underprivileged and disadvantaged groups such as SC/ST/OBC, other minorities and women. For the comprehensive development of all the regions of the country, socio-economic development is of paramount importance. The Government of India has thus adopted a strategy of social and economic empowerment to ensure equality and provide support to the disadvantaged groups. Considerable emphasis is being laid in building social infrastructure in terms of education, healthcare, sanitation, women empowerment etc. in the rural areas. In this regard, various schemes have been introduced and implemented and it is vital to monitor and evaluate their impact on the beneficiaries to suggest further strengthening of such schemes.
